Halcyon Day

Kingfishers, are without a shadow of doubt my favourite bird. I spend many an hour sitting in a hide waiting for a glimpse of the beautiful flash of their colours, and to try and catch a photo of them. When I do see one it lifts my soul.
This kingfisher is one we saw on a family walk locally. It was a glorious summers day and when he flew past, he made it perfect.
